There are a few exercises that you can do to burn that extra layer of fat around your thighs, and it only takes a few minutes every day- and maybe a chair.

Step 1: The pillow squeeze

Sit on a sturdy chair –preferably without wheels- and rest your feet on the floor at a 90-degree angle. Place a pillow between your thighs and squeeze as if you were trying to force the stuffing out of the pillow. Hold for a minute and exhale when squeezing; and then proceed to the next step.

Step 2: The seated hand push

Again, sit on a chair with both feet on the floor, knees bent at 90 degrees. Place both palms on the outside of your knees without moving your arms too much, apply pressure- at the same time push the knees outward, as if trying to push your palms away. Hold this position for 1 minute and the move on to step three.

Step 3: While still in the same position

Sitting with your knees bent at 90 degrees, rest both hands on the chair at your sides and then lift and extend each leg, and hold for 30 seconds as you breathe normally.

Do this two or more times on each leg, exhaling as you lower your left leg and inhale as you lower your right leg.
